Student Announcments: Week of February 26,2012
Welcome back from break! Notice that this week has February 29th and think about why we have a leap year every four years and what you know about measuring time and creating calendars.
Congratulations to all of the students who earned honor roll and high honor roll status for the first semester. High school will meet in an assembly in the commons on Wednesday to recognize these students. Check the list attached to this bulletin.
If you are not on the list and think that you should be, get it checked in the office on Monday!
Sometimes mistakes are made or your grade may have changed since the list was created.
This is an unhappy week because it is the week that the cuts to classified staff become effective.
This means reduced hours for our non teaching staff. Classified staff is everyone who does not hold a teaching certificate such as custodians, para educators, athletic director, RTL/Point Blank, PIP, office and maintenance staff. These cuts may also mean fewer bus runs
If you were going to donate, or if you know someone who was going to donate, now is the time!!
Remember that $100 donated by enough people can make a difference.
We all have friends and relatives and alumni on and off island who might be willing to chip in.
OIEF Site is http://www.oief.org/donate.html
Good news is that the library staff have been restored through donations to OIEF.
