A bright blue construction banner hangs on a chain-link fence, featuring a friendly cartoon construction worker and the text, "Please pardon our mess while we pave the way for the future. Exciting improvements underway."
A wide shot of a construction staging area enclosed by a chain-link fence, featuring heavy equipment including a yellow bulldozer on a flatbed trailer and a telehandler. A paved parking lot with several cars is visible to the right, all set against a dense backdrop of tall evergreen trees under an overcast sky
Two construction workers in bright orange t-shirts smile near a white service truck and a grey mobile office trailer. One man stands on the trailer's metal steps while the other stands on the grass, waving to the camera next to a set of detached metal stairs and an orange safety pylon
Three people wearing high-visibility safety vests—two men and one woman—pose together and smile in an asphalt parking area. In the background, a chain-link fence surrounds a construction site with various trucks, equipment, and a thick forest of deciduous and evergreen trees.
Site work and Safety Improvements

Thanks to the generous support of our community, the District is continuing to move forward with the Site Work and Safety Improvements Project funded through the recently approved levy. This project represents an important investment in the safety, accessibility, and long-term functionality of our campus.

During January and February, the project team has been focused on the design phase, working closely with our partners to refine plans that improve traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and overall site operations. These design efforts help ensure the project is thoughtful, efficient, and aligned with the needs of students, staff, families, and visitors.

Grab your hard hats… the Milton Building project is underway!
A familiar and much-loved part of our campus, the Milton Building has served Orcas Island students and the community for more than 75 years. Built in 1949, this historic building is now receiving important repairs to help preserve it for the future.
