Child Find
Child Find, an IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) mandate, seeks to locate all children with disabilities who would benefit from public services. They provide an initial referral point for children not enrolled in Orcas Island Public School. Additionally, they conduct outreach efforts to identify at-risk children who may not be independently referred.
If you suspect a child has a disability, they are over the age of three, and are not currently enrolled in Orcas Island Public School District, contact Child Find by phone 360-376-1561 or email [email protected].
If your family is living in a temporary situation, you may contact the district where you are currently staying for a screening.
